Welcoming Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project to the KaiAloha ‘Ohana
At KaiAloha Supply, our mission to protect and honor Hawaii’s natural beauty goes hand in hand with supporting the local organizations doing vital conservation work on the ground. That’s why we are so thrilled to announce our official new partnership with the Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project (MNSRP).
Seabirds are often unsung heroes of our environment, serving as a vital connection between mauka (mountain) and makai (ocean). They enrich coastal soils, nourish coral reefs, and maintain the health and balance of island ecosystems across Maui Nui. Through coastal habitat restoration, population monitoring, and community outreach, the dedicated team at MNSRP works tirelessly to protect these essential birds and their habitats.
To support their crew during long days under the sun, whether conducting field research or restoring native coastal habitats, our team at Whalers Village was proud to donate 10 KaiAloha Supply UV rash guards to keep their field team protected out on the land and water (Image Courtesy of Jenni Learned).
Jenni Learned, Project Manager at MNSRP, shared how the gear supports their work in the field:
"Spending the majority of our days outside in unpredictable conditions, high-quality rash guards are crucial for keeping us safe and comfortable in the field.
