Making Waves Together:
KaiAloha Supply x Kahakukahi Ocean Academy & AccesSurf Hawaii
This past weekend, KaiAloha Supply had the honor of partnering with Kahakukahi Ocean Academy and AccesSurf Hawaii for an inspiring community event rooted in connection, inclusion, and the healing power of the ocean. We gathered at Launiupoko Beach Park on Saturday, September 13th for a morning of service, connection, and ocean immersion. As part of our commitment to uplifting local leaders and Eco Warriors, KaiAloha Supply donated a total of 71 rash guards to the teams and volunteers who made this day possible.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do -- to bring people together, to share aloha, and to ensure that everyone has the chance to feel the ocean’s embrace.
The day began with a circle of families, 67 volunteers, and 20 participants gathering on the beach. With bright smiles and matching rash guards, the energy was contagious -- laughter and aloha filling the air. KaiAloha Supply was proud to see our community come together in true partnership, showing what happens when local organizations work hand-in-hand. One of the most powerful parts of this event was assisting individuals with disabilities in experiencing the ocean. From guiding 9 adaptive surf athletes and 11 autistic athletes into the water to steadying surfboards, every act of service was done with compassion, patience, and aloha. The ocean is for everyone, and this day was a living testament to that truth. (Photo courtesy Matty Schweitzer at Island Eye Productions)
With cheers from the shore and support in the water, participants caught waves, some for the very first time. The joy on their faces said it all -- pure freedom, connection, and empowerment. These moments go beyond surfing; they’re about breaking down barriers and building confidence in and out of the water. (Photo courtesy Matty Schweitzer at Island Eye Productions)
At KaiAloha Supply, we believe in community as the heartbeat of change. Supporting organizations like Kahakukahi Ocean Academy and AccesSurf Hawaii allows us to amplify the voices of our Eco Warriors and create meaningful impact. This event was not just about one day at the beach -- it was about weaving together a stronger, more inclusive community for generations to come. We are deeply grateful to have played a small part in this day. Mahalo to all the volunteers, families, and participants who continue to show us what it means to live with aloha. Together, we are making waves that ripple far beyond the shore.
Stay tuned for more Eco Warriors Stories as we continue to highlight the people and partnerships that help to shape a brighter, more connected Hawaii.
