"I love jewelry, especially ocean-inspired pieces… and 99% of the time I put a piece of jewelry on, it’s not coming off unless the ocean decides to grab it from me (or my masseuse lady asks for me to take it all off). That’s why @kaialohasupply has my favorite jewelry pieces EVER. PS I’ve gotten 100+ dms over the past year asking about my manta ray necklace… ladies, this is where i got it!"

A mini inside scoop on Bonnie Ngai:

1) What does Maui mean to you?

I moved to Maui by myself after graduating college - this place helped grow me in the initial years of “adulthood”. It was where I started my professional career, where I got to work with local restaurants and feel a direct impact and connection with the community. I fell MORE in love with nature here. I met my best friend Zoey here. I learned the true meaning of ‘aloha’ here, which I bring with me everywhere. Maui has the most special place in my heart

2) What is your favorite travel destination?

Such a hard one to answer but Albania was my fav country from 2024!

3) What is your most memorable travel story of 2024 to date?

Waaay too many stories to tell so I’ll give you 2! Partying with Shaq in Croatia & backpacking Sri Lanka where we rented a tuk tuk from a random hostel owner who gave it to us without asking for IDs/deposit and then the tuk tuk broke down every 20 minutes, ran out of gas in the middle of the road and we had to walk with an empty water can to a station to fill up, and then the tuk tuk eventually fully broke down in the middle of a highway and we had to wait for help while wild monkeys were running around by us

4) What are your favorite things about the ocean?

The healing power of it - I find myself going to it whether it’s freediving, surfing, or just a sunset dip when I'm happy, sad, and all the emotions in between and always come out of it feeling better
