Celebrating AccesSurf at Sunset at Sunhala
There are events you attend for work, and then there are evenings that stay with you long after the ocean breeze cools down. On September 19th, our Founder, Tommy, and our Director of Store Operations, Karen, had the honor of attending Sunset at Sunhala, an incredible evening hosted in support of AccesSurf— a non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities through accessible water sports and beach programs.
AccesSurf provides life-changing opportunities for adaptive athletes, creating inclusive spaces where everyone can experience the joy, healing, and freedom of the ocean. Being part of an evening centered around their mission was truly unforgettable.
Giving Back to Our Community

To help support the event and show our appreciation for AccesSurf's work, our team made a direct $2,500 monetary donation toward funding their adaptive ocean programs. We also put together gift sets and special items to spread some KaiaAloha love to the evening’s attendees and supporters (Image Courtesy of AccesSurf):
-
125 Custom Gift Sets: Packed in reusable KaiAloha Supply canvas bags, our signature Kapena hats, and shopping cards ($25 purchase reward) redeemable at any of our Oahu store locations.
-
A Special KaiaAloha Gift Basket: Loaded with brand favorites, including our Ocean Love Dad Hat, two Island Chain cotton towels, a Cozy Aloha pillow, and a spacious large canvas bag.
Empowering Adaptive Athletes Through Ocean Connection

Seeing the impact AccesSurf makes firsthand serves as a powerful reminder of how much the ocean unites and heals us all. Tommy and Karen were thrilled to represent our KaiaAloha Supply ʻohana at Sunhala, connect with the athletes and volunteers, and support an organization doing such meaningful work across the islands (Image Courtesy of AccesSurf).
Mahalo nui loa to AccesSurf for welcoming us, and to everyone who works tirelessly to keep ocean activities accessible to all. We look forward to continuing our support for Hawaiʻi’s adaptive athletes and seeing you all out on the water!
